About us

Built on decades of USA-Hungary shipping experience, now expanding our services to Rotterdam, Hamburg, and Romania.

Hungarian roots. A new and broader European chapter.

East Coast Freight Logistics is a new company, but the experience behind it has been built over decades. Éva has more than 20 years of experience in international shipping, while Balázs brings close to 10 years of experience, primarily on the American logistics side. Together, they bring practical knowledge developed through coordinating real shipments, not simply studying the process from a distance.

For more than 14 years, we worked from New Jersey and focused exclusively on shipments between the United States and Hungary. We helped coordinate the movement of vehicles, containers, packages, and personal belongings. This gave us direct knowledge of pickup, preparation, documentation, and port operations in the United States, as well as the questions and uncertainty customers face when their shipment reaches Hungary.

We stepped away at the end of 2022 and later relocated to Florida. During the years that followed, former customers continued to contact us and ask when we would return. It confirmed that people still needed a personal, English- and Hungarian-speaking point of contact who would do more than pass along information: someone who would explain the process clearly and remain involved throughout the shipment.

East Coast Freight Logistics represents a new chapter. Hungary remains one of our primary destinations, while we are now expanding our services to include Rotterdam, Hamburg, and Romania. These are new additions to our current service coverage, not destinations served by our former operation. We are approaching these new routes with the same personal, transparent, and responsible working method developed through years of experience on the USA-Hungary corridor.

We did not return to become the biggest name in shipping. We returned to build the kind of service we would expect when trusting someone with a vehicle, a valuable purchase, or a family’s personal belongings. We review every shipment individually, communicate with you directly, and only make commitments we can responsibly support based on the information available.

Packages and online purchases

Items bought from US retailers, suppliers, or individual sellers that need to reach Hungary or Europe. Contact us before ordering.

Household goods and moving support

Pre-shipment guidance

We help customers understand what is involved before they buy or commit. Pricing factors, documents, timing, and destination-side questions are all reviewed in advance.

How we work

1

Review before quoting

We review the shipment details before providing a cost estimate. Every shipment is different, and a meaningful quote requires knowing what we are actually arranging.

2

Explain available options

We explain what shipping methods may be available for your specific shipment, what the process involves, and what to expect on both sides of the Atlantic.

3

Coordinate through logistics partners

Pickup, loading, ocean shipping, and destination-side coordination are arranged through established logistics partners. We manage those relationships so you do not have to.

4

Avoid unsupported promises

We do not promise fixed prices, guaranteed timelines, or specific outcomes before reviewing a shipment. We would rather tell you what depends on the details than make a claim that may not hold.

What customers can rely on

Hungarian roots. USA-based team.

More than 30 years of combined experience in USA-Hungary and USA-Europe container and vehicle shipping, starting in New Jersey and now based in Florida. We understand both sides of the route: the American logistics process, and what customers in Hungary deal with at the other end.

One route. Done properly.

We focus on the USA-Hungary and USA-Europe corridor. Not every country, not every route. A specialist who knows one route well is more useful than a generalist who handles everything at arm's length.

We tell you before you buy.

Contact us before you finalize a purchase. We can give you a shipping cost estimate before you commit. Many customers reach out before buying to understand the full cost. That is the right order of operations.

No overclaiming.

We help coordinate shipments. We work with licensed logistics partners and established carriers. We are honest about what we manage and what we coordinate through partners. If something is out of scope, we tell you directly.

What we do not promise

We would rather explain what depends on the shipment than make promises that may not apply to your situation.

Pricing depends on the shipment

We do not publish fixed rates. Shipping costs depend on what you are shipping, where it is, the destination, the method, and current carrier rates. We quote after review.

Customs outcomes are not ours to guarantee

Customs duties, VAT, and import requirements are set by destination authorities. We help you understand what documentation may be needed, but outcomes depend on customs authorities.

Pickup is coordinated through partners

Home pickup, auction yard collection, and storage pickup may be possible through logistics partners, but depend on location, shipment size, vehicle condition, and partner availability.

Cargo protection is optional and partner-dependent

Cargo protection options may be available depending on shipment type and partner. We do not include guaranteed insurance in a standard quote.
